The Frog Pond

The Frog Pond, which reopened in 2022 after the COVID closure, holds a very special place in my heart! This gorgeous, frogtastic spot located in Downtown St. Pete is right next to the apartment building my fiancé lived in when I met him.

The last time we were here was also the day he proposed to me! 🥹 November 1st, 2025. I’m glad this restaurant is now a part of a very special day for me!

Upon walking in and finding your seat, you can tell by the beautiful frog-themed art on the wall that this brunch spot is going to be a hop above the rest!

The details on the murals on the walls transports you from a family diner to a brunch picnic by the water featuring all of your froggy friends.

I love the touch of the different art styles, it almost feels like they came from different books and hopped right up on the wall!

There are froggy Knick Knacks on almost every counter and shelf in this restaurant, making it feel like the frogs are really leaping out at you! If you’re a frog lover, you’ll be seriously impressed by the collection.

Let’s hop over to the food!

The menu itself has lots of different breakfast and brunch options; including omelets and pancakes to the more savory sandwiches and soups!

I ordered the Krab Meat Eggs Benedict, which comes with a hefty side of potatoes! I’d only had eggs Benedict once or twice, but I fell in love with how creamy and smooth these eggs were!

My fiancé got the Neptune omelette; which features krab, spinach, and pepper jack cheese! I love seeing the meat peak out of the omelette, such a delicious surprise!

The food was very top notch and filling, especially with the large portion sizing! Not only is the food amazing, but the kind and caring staff make sure to check on you repeatedly throughout the meal.

This spot is such a lovely place to have a great brunch with your family in Downtown St. Petersburg! If you’re craving some wonderful food and good times, hop on over to The Frog Pond.
