8-Bit Hall of Fame

Growing up, the GameCube was my first console I ever played. I spent hours watching my mom play through Wind Waker, my dad through Pitfall Harry, and my sister and I ripping the controller out of each other’s hands during our turn of Animal Crossing.

Which is why when we discovered 8-Bit Hall of Fame in Fort Myers, my fiancé and I knew we had to make a beeline for there immediately!

This retro gaming store is one of the largest I’ve ever been to, and as an old game lover I’ve been to a lot! Their variety of games from different systems and stock is pretty much unrivaled.

The more expensive and rarer games are located in the glass cases, and the more common ones are located on the shelves throughout the store.

Each case is helpfully decorated and labeled to help you find whatever game you’re looking for!

I of course made a beeline for the rare GameCube games, as I love staring at them every time I come in. They have a whole stack of Sealed New games, and I’m desperate for that copy of Twilight Princess.

They’ve also got a boxed copy of Chibi Robo in here, which is incredibly hard to find. What other favorites do you see?

The shelves are packed filled with finds that are more common and usually run anywhere between $20-$50. Seeing the Xbox 360 games technically be considered retro definitely hurts my old heart, but also fills me up with happy memories.

Remember those Amiibo’s we bought for $20 a piece and were told they could be rare one day? They’re all here on the shelf if you’d like some more!

I kid, but I did own the Chibi Robo one I got with the 3DS platformer game and I lost him in the move. I would love to see him again 🥹

8-Bit doesn’t just sell games, but a ton of old gaming systems too. My mom was a bit Atari fan growing up, so I think she’d love to grab one of these!

When I say a ton, I mean it too. All of these boxes displayed on the shelf are available for purchase! Whether you’re using them for display or playing, you can find some cool pieces of gaming history here.

Including these super rare NEW Nintendo merch from the late 80s, how incredibly cool are these?! The condition that these are in is unmatched in today’s times, and I’ve got to get my hands on them.

Looking to play something retro, but don’t really have the funds? Check out to see what they have hooked up in store! If you’re looking for old tv’s I believe they sell these as well, you’ll just need to ask for stock and pricing.

If you’re a fan of video game music and video game inspired music, check out their vinyls that they have in store! Just need to convince them to stock The Protomen….

More into modern games? No worries, 8-bit also stocks recent games on all of the recent consoles! If you’re looking for something specific, make sure to ask, as they’re pretty good at sourcing stuff.

You also won’t want to miss their in person pinball and arcade machines that work and play beautifully! They really add to the fun atmosphere of the store, and are a lot of fun.

If you’re in Fort Myers and are looking for good vibes, great games, and a trip down gaming memory lane, make sure to check out 8-Bit Hall of Fame!

A lovely store, though not one copy of Sonic Heroes in sight!
