Happy 4th of July, y’all! I delayed the post by a day so I could share one of the best American Classics with you: Cheeburger Cheeburger!
I’m gonna be honest with you guys, I’ve never heard of Cheeburger Cheeburger before. In fact, I thought this place was called Cheeseburger Cheeseburger until we got here, to show how little I know.
We got there right at opening, and it was so empty we got to pick any seat we wanted!
The busy season starts in October, so I can’t guarantee it’ll be this empty on open then, but I can definitely take advantage now!
Known for their incredible food and vintage decor, this Cheeburger location feels like stepping back in time to a kitchen that really cares about the food they bring out!

We were actually lucky enough to hit the Cheeburger Cheeburger on Sanibel, as it’s the first one ever opened! With the quality of the food we ate, I recommend they stay open forever.
This meal is one I would eat again and again, it was so good. Keep in mind that the fries and onion rings are separate from the burger, but are made with so much love it’s so worth the price.
I really don’t think I’ve had better fries or onion rings any other place, and I would happily pay that price again for that quality!

I ordered the Sanibel Hot Fried Chicken, and this sandwich leaked with flavor. My mouth is literally watering right now as I type this. Hands down one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve had in a long time.

My fiancé got a Classic Burger with pepper jack cheese, and said it was delicious! (He actually said it felt like Elvis Presley was dancing on his tongue, but I’m not one to be outdone on my own blog, so no he didn’t.)

For dessert (we actually ordered this first but imagine it’s dessert) I got a boozy milkshake and my fiancé got a coffee! They even gave me the extra in a separate glass, which is such a nice touch!

If you’re on Sanibel looking for a place to eat that has the classics and know how to do them right; make sure to stop in at Cheeburger Cheeburger!
